Just found this cartoon that makes fun of the latest Microsoft commercial. I got a kick out of it.Monday, March 30, 2009
iPhone 3G Pro
Here are some stats that I found on AppleInsider today. This is what is expected to show up in the new iPhone this summer. It is expected to be shown at the WWDC and then released sometime in July. I'm really excited about this update. =D
New MacBook Air?
*Update: After reviewing these pictures more closely, I think they are fake. The keyboard is not indented at all and neither is the screen. This would cause the keys to hit the screen when the computer is closed. This would be a major design flaw, one that Apple would not make. *

Stats of this possible update to the Macbook air are:
• 10.4" WXGA display.
• 1280 x 768 pixel with LED backlighting.
• NVIDIA MCP79
• Intel Atom Z740 1.83GHz with 1MB L2 cache.
• 2GB DDR3-800.
• NVIDIA GeForce 9400M
• 64GB Solid State Drive.
• Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n
• 1 x USB 2.0
• 1 x Mini Display Port
• Battery Li-Ion 5100mA

Thanks Microsoft!
I just found this video on YouTube about 10 minutes ago. Seeing as I currently have a PC, and had no idea about this virus, I would like to thank Microsoft for doing such a great job of getting the word out there to the 20 million people who may just find that their computer crashes on April 1st. Awesome job!
(such a fail.... )
iPhone Expectations
I recently heard a rumor via Twitter that AT&T will now be offering the subsidized iPhone 3G prices of $199 (8GB) and $299 (16GB) to customers who have not completed their entire 24 month contract. The lower phone prices will be available to all customers who have had their phones for approximately 14 months, or at the discretion of employees in the store. This announcement comes just a week after Apple announced that they will be offering 'contract free' iPhones to customers (for a higher price of course).
Both of these new deals are said to have been created to get rid of the remaining stock of 3G phones due to the upcoming release of a new iPhone model at this years WWDC (June 8th - June 12th). Although nothing has been confirmed by Apple, the number of rumors toward a new iPhone are pretty promising. If released, the new iPhone is expected to include some, if not all, of these features:
- Faster Processor Speeds
- 7.2 Mbit Chipset
- Video Camera
- 32GB Storage
- Faster Internet Speeds
- Higher Resolution Display

PC Advertising Failure
Well, the time finally came for PC to release their new ad campaign, and its about as good as their operating system. Meet Lauren, she needs a new 17" notebook computer. The catch? She only has $1000 (of course Windows would target price... They cant beat them any other way).
There a couple vital things we see here. First of all, the first place she looks is the Apple Store. Then, when she cant find a cheap-o computer there, she has to settle for a PC. The stats of said HP are as follows:
- AMD Turion™ X2 Processor
- 2.1GHz Processor Speed
- 1440 x 900 17" Display
- 4GB RAM
- 320GB Hard Drive
- Up to 2 hours and 30 minutes Battery Life
Lets compare these to the stats of the 17" Macbook Pro
- 2.66 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor
- 4 GB RAM
- 320 GB Hard Drive
- 1920x1200 High Resolution LED Display
- 8 hour Battery Life
Alright, we know the Macbook Pro costs around $2000 more than the HP 'Lauren' got. But with a much higher resolution display, a much faster processor, a much longer battery, and a much more stable operating system, Lauren's HP is probably going to last half as long, if that, before the battery will die or the software will become greatly outdated.
So go out and buy a PC if you find that you 'are not cool enough' to buy a Mac, and you would like to settle with a computer that will fail you.
